Repo Kempt is a person. His life is complicated. He lives in the Canadian Arctic with his beautiful wife and his cute little dog, Galactus. He wants to complete ten ambitious projects before 2012 is over. Each project has its own category - home, language, music, muse, marathon, writing, books, travel, skills, fitness, and cool people - so people can follow along if they are interested. He wants to publish two books, run a marathon in both the Arctic and Antarctic, record an album and play a music festival, renovate a house with a sauna and wood stove, read 100 books, and much more. Hopefully, it will inspire and entertain you. Thanks!

Non-Fiction: Final Draft (Writing)

The plan is to write and publish both a fiction and non-fiction book this year. So, the second draft of my non-fiction book on seal hunting was sent into the editor a few weeks ago and I hope to have it back next week for more revisions. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to get out on the seal hunting trip to Clyde River we had hoped for due to complications in scheduling and terrible weather. That would have been a great opportunity to get some more accompanying photographs for the book. In the meantime, the picture above is a random seal shot (not at an aglu, but just a hole in the ice) that I pulled from a website.

I am feeling excited about the art and layout of the book coming together once the text is finished. There are so many great artists out there who have done images based on this type of hunting. I will be traveling to the tiny island of Sanikiluaq next week, so I will have lots of time to get my revisions done in the hotel every night after work. Now, to get back to work on that fiction book...
